With the backing and support of Mayor Nagin, the Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee is kicking off the Greater New Orleans Supports Our Military program as a way of encouraging local area businesses to show their support for military members and their families.  They will be able to do this by offering tangible benefits in the form of discounts and other benefits to these military personnel and their dependents.

The Committee has worked hand-in-hand in planning and establishing this program with two other dynamic organizations that have shown great support for our locally based military personnel.  These partners are Greater New Orleans, Inc. (or GNO, Inc.) and the Louisiana Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.   Working together, this three-way team is striving to make this endeavor the very best community support of the military program within the entire nation.
