Currently, the only DOE Clean Cities designation in Louisiana is for Baton Rouge. There is local interest in having Greater New Orleans earn this designation. Clean Cities is a voluntary government/industry partnership to mobilize local stakeholders to expand the use of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) and alternative fuels and could be part of our Local Action Plan. FYI, Ford makes AFVs and Fuelman offers Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
