
Anthony Jones
Interim Chief Technology Officer
Anthony Jones was appointed Interim Chief Technology Officer in March of 2007 after serving as Director of Management Information Services where he was responsible for overseeing and coordinating all administrative, academic and clinical technology, telecommunications, wide area networking, local area networking, desktop support, IT security, disaster recovery planning, applications training and support, and records management.
As Interim CIO, Mr. Jones oversees all development and support functions involving core services to the city, as well as organizational issues relating to IT initiatives. He is responsible for the establishment of an Information Security office that will set policy regarding protection of IT infrastructure, monitoring and enforcement of the city's data. He will also be responsible for all technology initiatives for mission-critical clinical, education, research and administrative functions for the City of New Orleans, Mayor‘s Office of Technology.
Prior to joining the city, Mr. Jones served nine years in the U.S. Navy, working in computers and telecommunications and has over 20 years of experience in the banking, healthcare and governmental sectors. |
