Every person who shall desire to use the public streets, sidewalks or public places or private places of business establishments for the conduct of any of the businesses or callings hereinafter set forth or to hold meetings or rallies or public entertainment in private or public halls or places shall first apply to and obtain from the department of finance a permit. Mayoralty permit must be obtained in person at the Bureau of Revenue. Contact the Bureau of Revenue at (504) 658-1666 for further information. If selling food, applicant must also obtain a health permit from the State of Louisiana, Department of Health and Hospitals. Contact the Health Department at (504) 568-7970.
