New Orleans, LA - The New Orleans Police Department, today announced the traffic plan for the upcoming Bayou Classic weekend event.   Beginning Friday, November 28, 2008, at 6:00 p.m., through 6:00 a.m., Sunday, November 29, 2006, there will be possible street closures and no parking in and around the area surrounding the event. 

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating relatives or guardians, to reunite a six year old child found wandering alone with his family.  The child was found this afternoon at about 1:00 P.M, at the Chevron gas station located at the intersection of Elysian Fields and North Claiborne Avenue.

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating an incident where a 15-year-old local male accidentally shot himself. The incident occurred at approximately 6:45 P.M., in the 1700 block of Abundance Street.  

 

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying the suspects wanted in connection with a carjacking that occurred October 25, 2008, at approximately 2:15 P.M., in the 4200 block of Toulouse Street.

 

New Orleans, LA - Members of The New Orleans Police Department arrested two juveniles and three adults in an incident that took place November 1, 2008 at approximately 9:15 P.M., in the parking lot of #1 Zachary Taylor Street.  

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department arrested 18 year old Delexis Doyle in connection with the Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Arson, which took place on September 30, 2008, in the 2500 block of O’Reilly Street at approximately 7:30 a.m.    

 

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department arrested 21-year-old Brandon Lewis of New Orleans, in connection with the murder of a 24-year-Jerome Jones and the attempted murder of three victims. The incident occurred March 2, 2008, in the 2800 block of Jackson Avenue.

New Orleans, LA -The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Jamal Fletcher, wanted in connection with the murder of Lance Zanders, which occurred in the 1600 block of Frenchmen Street on March 13, 2008.

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Fatality Section booked 23-year-old Nelson Grimes, a local male with Vehicular Homicide as a result of a traffic accident that left an unidentified female dead. The accident occurred at approximately 12:14 A.M., in the 3400 block of LaSalle Street.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 44-year-old Monica Smith, who was last seen by relatives on March 7, 2008, leaving her residence in the 3800 block of Clermont Drive. Smith was driving a red 2002 Pontiac GrandAm, bearing Louisiana licesnse plate OVN135.

New Orleans, LA – The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Derione Guillory of New Orleans, reported missing since Thursday, March 6, 2008.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 20-year-old Calvin Thomas for a murder that occurred February 27, 2008 in the 3600 block of Danneel Street.

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Fatality Unit are investigating a traffic accident that left an 18-year-old male dead. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members. The accident occurred shortly after 4:00 A.M., at the intersection of Interstate 10 West at West End Boulevard.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members. The accident occurred shortly before 8:00 P.M., in the 1800 block of Flanders Street.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with this morning’s robbery of a Capital One Bank, located at 3540 Saint Charles Avenue.

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the apparent shooting death of an unidentified female. The offense occurred approximately 1:10 P.M., in the 3300 block of Lancaster Street.

New Orleans, LA - Members of The New Orleans Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a burglary that occurred in the 3100 block of Bienville Street on December 31, 2007.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. The offense occurred at approximately 10:00 P.M., in the 3500 block of Garden Oaks Drive on the north side of an apartment complex.

New Orleans, LA - The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 39-year-old Kim M. Kelley, a New Orleans resident, who was last seen by relatives on February 14, 2008, at approximately 9:00 A.M., in the 7900 block of McKenzie Drive.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. The offense occurred at approximately 9:30 P.M., in the 2000 block of Elizardi Street.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Asia Hunter, who was last seen on February 21, 2008, leaving her residence in the 900 block of Hagan Street.

New Orleans, LA -Members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Homicide Division have arrested 17-year-old Gerald Coleman of 1577 North Roman in connection with the shooting death of Javonte’ Morgan. The offense occurred February 3, 2008, approximately 9:45 P.M., in the 1700 block of North Galvez Street.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department arrested five (5) suspects in connection with last night’s robbery of a 33-year-old New Orleans man. The offense occurred at about 10:44 p.m., in the 3400 block of Cleveland Avenue.

New Orleans, LA -Members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Homicide Division have arrested a 16-year-old local male in connection with the shooting death of Javonte’ Morgan. The offense occurred February 3, 2008, approximately 9:45 P.M., in the 1700 block of North Galvez Street.

New Orleans, LA. - Members of the New Orleans Police Department have arrested, 19-year-old Joemain Dominick of 1208 Port Street, and booked him with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Port Street at approximately 8:00 P.M.

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred inside of a gas station at the intersection of Sandra Drive and General DeGaulle Drive on February 13, 2008 approximately 12:15 P.M.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members. The accident occurred shortly after 1:00 A.M., at the intersection of General Meyer Avenue and Pace Boulevard.

New Orleans, LA - Today, the New Orleans Police Department announces the arrest of 24-year-old Gerald Nickles, wanted in connection with the murder of 28-year-old Sheldon Dean. The offense occurred November 25, 2007, shortly before 4:00 A.M., in the 10000 block of Roger Drive.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying suspect(s) wanted in connection with the robbery of five (5) cab drivers that occurred in the Mid City area, in recent weeks.

New Orleans, LA -This morning, members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Violent Offenders Warrant Squad arrested 18-year-old Louis Handy and booked him with attempted murder. The offense occurred February 4, 2008 in the 100 block of Bourbon Street.

New Orleans, LA -Tonight, members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the apparent shooting death of an unidentified male. The offense occurred approximately 9:45 P.M., in the 1700 block of North Galvez Street.

New Orleans, LA -This morning, members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the apparent shooting death of an unidentified male. The offense occurred approximately 1:00 A.M., in the 1600 block of Marigny Street.

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department immediately arrested 18-year-old Bryson McDonald of New Orleans and 17-year-old Inasio Fierra of New Orleans and booked them with five counts of Attempted First Degree Murder after a shooting at Canal and Baronne Streets at approximately 10:30 P.M.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a traffic accident that resulted in the death of an unidentified adult male. The incident occurred at about 10:47 p.m., on the rear exterior of the Louisiana Superdome, near Garage 5, in the disband area of the Krewe of Endymion.

Carnival Krewes will parade through New Orleans’ streets from Friday, January 25th through Mardi Gras Day, Tuesday, February 5th 2008. In dealing with festivities of this magnitude, the NOPD solicits the cooperation of the public which is essential for a safe and orderly season.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Homicide Division arrested 24-year-old Dominick Allen, in connection with the November 25, 2007, murder of Sheldon Dean that occurred in the 10700 block of Roger Drive.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department arrested 44-year-old Bernel Johnson of Kenner, Louisiana, in connection with the murder of Officer Nicola Cotton, a two year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department.

New Orleans, LA - Members New Orleans Police Department are requesting the publics assistance in locating 20-year-old Edward Augustine, wanted in connection with the murder of Aaron Merlin Williams that occurred December 8, 2007, at approximately 4:45 P.M., in the 5900 block of Tullis Drive.

New Orleans, LA -The New Orleans Police Department announces the arrest of Terrell Scott and Jimmie Walker in connection with two (2) armed robberies that occurred this past weekend.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Homicide Division determined 25-year-old Monroe Walker was responsible for the March 4, 2007 murder of his acquaintance, 43-year-old Ronnie Keelan. The offense occurred in the 1400 block of Magnolia Street.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the January 5th burglary of Mr. C’s Pool Hall, at 6510 Morrison Road.

New Orleans, LA - The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery. The offense occurred January 16, 2008, at approximately 7:30 P.M., in the 2000 block of North Rampart Street.

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the death of 48-year-old Jody Johnson, of Warner Robbins, Georgia. The incident occurred Friday, January 11, 2008, at approximately 7:30 P.M., in the 3600 block of Piety Street

New Orleans, LA -The New Orleans Police Department announces the arrest of 34-year-old Eric Lewis, in connection with two armed robberies in the French Quarter area. The incidents occurred in the 1200 block of Burgundy Street on December 23, 2007, shortly after 1:00 A.M., and the 700 block of Dauphine Street on January 6, 2008, shortly after 7:30 A.M.

New Orleans, LA - Members New Orleans Police Department are requesting the publics assistance in locating 18-year-old Devin Garrison, wanted in connection with the shooting death Rigobero Dominguez Duvon. The offense occurred November 28, 2007 at about 5:00 P.M., in the 3600 block of Fourth Street.

New Orleans, LA - Members New Orleans Police Department are requesting the publics assistance in locating 17-year-old Joe Morgan, wanted in connection with a murder that occurred January 12, 2008, at approximately 10:00 P.M., at the intersection of Tulane Avenue and South Lopez Street.

New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 28-year-old Wilman Anibal Diaz of 1018 Bartholomew Street, in connection with the January 10th kidnapping of his former girlfriend and her two children. The offense occurred at the intersection of Japonica Street and St. Claude Avenue.
