New Orleans, LA - The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 54-year-old Douglas Schantz, a Houston resident, who was last seen by friends on Friday, March 5, 2010, at 2:00 A.M. in the 500 block of Bourbon Street.

Today Superintendent Warren J. Riley issued a response statement to a correspondence, dated March 3, 2010, by the Inspector General of New Orleans Ed Quatrevaux.

The New Orleans Hornets organization is offering a special discounted ticket for policemen and women and their families to our March 1st game versus the San Antonio Spurs. The special offer is a $10 upper balcony ticket (normally $25). Attached is the flyer to this email as well for distribution.

Members of New Orleans Police Recruit Class 166 will graduate at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Loyola University’s Louis J. Roussel Hall, 6363 Saint Charles Avenue, located at the intersection of Saint Charles Avenue and Calhoun Street.

The New Orleans Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying an unknown, African-American male, wanted in connection with a sexual assault that occurred on Sunday February 14, 2010 at approximately 5:00 P.M., inside of a business in the 9600 block of Hayne Boulevard.

Riley is pleased to announce that the City of New Orleans and the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan Area are hosting a parade in honor of the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. A carnival style parade including floats and marching bands will be held as part of this celebration starting at the intersection of Poydras and La Salle at 5:00 P.M.
