The Police Education & Training Division functions as a part of the Victor H. Schiro Municipal Training Academy for the City of New Orleans. The Division is organized and staffed to provide the highest quality law enforcement education and training attainable to all members of the New Orleans Police Department. The Division subscribes to the philosophy that a demanding, performance oriented curriculum, carefully designed to meet though, objective standards is the surest way to meet the goal of producing professional, ethical, and community oriented police officers.
