Keep Our Community Clean

  1. Make sure all garbage and trash is placed out in an approved, tight fitting container for collection no earlier than 4 p.m. prior to collection day.
  2. Place all bulky household items (appliances, furniture, etc.) out the second pick-up day. Tree limbs must not be in bundles longer than 4 feet or weigh over 75 pounds.
  3. Keep grass cut and yard clean.
  4. Eliminate mosquito breeding by keeping all containers emptied of water.
  5. Prevent sewer leaks by keeping your plumbing in good repair at all times.
  6. Eliminate all accumulated materials from property such as: lumber pipes, tires, inoperable and/or junked vehicles, etc. (Note: A vehicle is considered inoperable if any of these conditions exist: No tire(s), expired safety sticker and/or license plate, deflated tires.
  7. Secure all vacant building to prevent illegal entry.
  8. Keep all animals in a clean area at all times. All dogs and cats over 3 months old must be vaccinated against rabies annually and posses a City of New Orleans dog/cat license which must be affixed to the animal's collar.
  9. No more than 4 domestic animals are allowed in a residential neighborhood and no more than one on commercial property.
  10. As an owner or resident you are responsible for maintaining your property free of debris 18 inches into the street.
As a citizen, know and practice health ordinances, and encourage others to do the same.

What to do:
Citizens can bring up to 20 tires at anytime to tire collections sites free of charge.

When To Go?
Tires are accepted 6 days a week (Monday thru Saturday) from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
