Mission Statement
As the official health agency for Orleans Parish, it is the mission of the New Orleans Health Department to protect, maintain and enhance the health status of our citizens, our visitors, and our communities, through disease mapping, prevention, and management while advocating and supporting health maintenance, prevention and promotion activities.
