The City of New Orleans and the American Red Cross Southeast Louisiana Chapter are excited to announce a partnership in emergency preparedness training for 2006.

In an effort to help all Orleans Parish and metro area residents take steps to stay safe and plan ahead, New Orleans and ARC have united to bring this FREE class your area. Classes are taught in lecture or workshop format depending on your needs and are available for all age groups.

This class will help you answer questions about:

Common hazards in your area

Local evacuation plans and procedures

How to make a family communications plan

What supplies to put in an evacuation kit

How to safely evacuate your family and pets

What to do if you’re affected by a disaster
