One New Orleans Conversation  Episode 7

This month’s One New Orleans Conversation features an update from Mayor C. Ray Nagin, the Department of Parks and Parkways 100th Anniversary announcement, a report on volunteerism in the City, and a press conference announcing international flights from New Orleans.

Mayor Nagin talks about his goals and accomplishments during recent trips to D.C. to visit with State and Federal representatives. He also discusses President Obama’s Recovery and Reinvestment Act and how it will affect New Orleans.

Director of Parks and Parkways, Ann McDonald, highlights the department’s 100th Anniversary and the many services it provides to help keep New Orleans beautiful.

Mayor Nagin and Frank Galan, AeroMexico’s U.S. Division Sales Vice-President, hosted a press conference on the steps of City Hall to announce a major breakthrough for the Louis Armstrong International Airport. AeroMexico will offer the first direct international flights to South America since Hurricane Katrina.
