OUR MISSION:

To create a safe and clean environment, to meet the leisure needs of citizens and visitors, to enhance the quality of life and to contribute to the City’s economic development; the Department of Parks and Parkways shall effectively manage, maintain, develop, beautify and preserve approximately 2000 acres of green space which include neutral grounds, 4 regional parks, 200 smaller parks, historic sites, playgrounds, two 18-hole golf courses and approximately 500,000 trees.
