Orleans Grand Jury Indictments
(New Orleans, LA) - An Orleans Parish Grand Jury returned three indictments this week, including an indictment for a 2002 homicide, Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon A. Cannizzaro, Jr. announced today.
Kedrick Johnson and Leonard Lewis were each charged with one count of second degree murder of Jerome Scarborough. The incident occurred on December 1, 2002 in the 1300 block of St. Claude Avenue. Bond was set at $1 million for each defendant.
Dwayne Butler, male, 21, Michael Curtis, male, 25 and Demonde Solomon, male, 19, were indicted for second degree murder of Lindsey Singleton, which occurred on March 29, 2009 at approximately 5:50 pm in the 1200 block of South Johnson Street. Bond was set at $750,000 for each defendant.
Joshua Franklin, male, 15, was indicted for attempted first degree murder for an incident that occurred on August 10, 2009 at approximately 12:24 am in the 1800 block of Washington Avenue. Franklin's bond was set at $250,000.
