FOOTBALL FINALS
Going for the trophy

The New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD) hosted the department's city wide annual Athletic Division Bantam Football Championship Games last weekend at the Pan American Stadium, where youths competed on the field to take home a victory. After the late morning game between the Willie Hall Panthers and the Harrell Rams, Mayor Nagin handed over trophies to both teams, highlighting the importance of sportsmanship and recreation in the community. This year, more than 2,000 kids participated in the NORD football program.
